• Laser Hair Removal

The light-based technology targets and destroys hair cells responsible for hair production and growth, without harming the skin.\ Areas it Treats Face Neck Chest Shoulders Underarms Back Legs Bikini Procedure Time A Laser hair removal session takes around 15 minutes to 1 hour depending on the area of the body. For most people, three to six sessions spaced about 4 weeks apart are required. Recovery Time & Side Effects There is no downtime needed after receiving our laser hair removal. It is best to avoid sun exposure for a couple of days following your laser hair removal treatment, as your skin will be sensitive to sunlight and may be more susceptible to sunburn. It is important to exfoliate after your treatment to assist in removing any hair left in the hair follicle. The Treatment Process Step 1 The Consultation You will be instructed not to put on any lotions or perfumes in the area you wish to have treated. You will also need to be newly shaved for your treatment area. Your laser specialist will then determine the appropriate level of laser treatment by assessing your skin type. Step 2 Protective Gel Once the correct energy level is set, a protective gel will be applied to the skin and your laser hair specialist will perform a test treatment spot to ensure you are comfortable with the treatment, and your skin reacts appropriately to the selected energy level. Step 3 The Treatment After the protective gel is applied to the treatment area and your skin reacted well to the test treatment spot, the laser is then applied to the area for hair removal. Depending on the procedure area, the treatment will take around 15 minutes – 1 hour. Step 4 Cool the Skin Our laser is equipped with a cooling tip, making your laser hair removal treatment even more comfortable. Your treatment will progress quickly and you’ll be on your way to being hair free in no time! Safety Settings We go a step further for your safety and use the industry’s only Melanin Reader, the Cynosure Skintel® specifically designed for our Cynosure Icon® Laser. The reading we get ensures that the correct energy levels are being used and drastically reduces the potential for laser burns. Results Hair color, growth and density are factors that will play into your results. You can expect to see a gradual decrease in hair thickness and growth and an overall reduction in hair. This treatment will only target hair that is in the active stage of growth; therefore, multiple treatments are usually required. We recommend a minimum of 3 treatment with up to 6 or 8 for optimal results. Occasional touch-ups are usually necessary as there is no truly permanent hair removal process.

• Sclerotherapy

  Leg Vein Treatment This method of vein treatment is for very small superficial veins in the skin called Telangiectasias or “Spider Veins” and the next larger size veins called Reticular Veins. Sclerotherapy is the injection of a chemical solution (sclerosant) into the vein that damages the treated vein, causing the vessel to contract and to scar closed permanently. This treatment is more efficient and quicker than laser treatment of Spider Veins. About Spider Veins They may not be bulging or painful, but spider veins are rarely a welcome sight. Everyone has them. Spider veins are usually red, purple, or blue in color and are more cosmetic concern than painful nuisance. What it Treats Spider veins or Telangiectasias Reticular Veins Located on the legs and other areas Procedure Time 30 to 60 minutes Recovery Time & Side Effects Minimal. No pain. Slight bruising is possible but not often seen. The complications of skin damage does not occur with Polidocanol. To complete the treatment, compression stockings must be worn for one week. The Sclerotherapy Treatment Process Step 1 The Consultation Before your treatment, you will be scheduled with our staff for a free vein screening. At this time, your veins will be assessed and a treatment plan formulated. Step 2 The Treatment The area to be treated will be cleaned and prepped. With the tiniest available needle, the painless sclerosant (we use Polidocanol) is injected sequentially into the spider veins, causing blanching of the vein. A cotton ball and pressure will be applied at injection site as needed. Step 3 Post Procedure After completion of the procedure, compression stockings will be used continuously for 3-7 days. The more they are worn, the better the results. Results Immediately, the vein may become red and more prominent. This doesn’t last long, as the inflammatory process resolves fairly quickly. Very good results are usually seen at 4 weeks, with continued improvement over the next 3 months. Repeat sessions may be necessary to reach the desired outcome.

The Treatment Process Step 1 The Consultation Optimization begins with an office visit to identify and discuss symptoms such as lack of energy and fatigue during the day, difficulty sleeping at night, and reduced mental focus. Step 2 Lab Work Next, labs will be drawn to evaluate current hormone levels. This comprehensive blood work analysis will reveal the treatment plan recommended for you to have the best possible outcome. Step 3 Insert Pellets The pellets are inserted under a local anesthetic, Lidocaine, with insertion typically being well tolerated. Insertion sites include upper, outer buttocks or an abdominal approach, with alternating left and right sides. Step 4 Post Procedure A steri-strip is placed over the injection site, gauze is applied and a waterproof bandage is then applied for men. An ice pack is placed at the site of the pellets for 20 minutes with additional applications over the next 4-5 hours is encouraged. Post Procedure Post-procedure instructions for men include no strenuous exercise/activity involving the incision area for 7 days, and no swimming/hot tubs/tub bathing for 7 days. Post-procedure activity limitations are longer for men because they receive more pellets.
